About Día de los Muertos
Día de los Muertos, celebrated on November 1 and 2, is a beloved Mexican tradition where family and friends honor and remember loved ones who have passed. It is believed on this day, the loved one comes back to visit the family. Altars are built to remember the deceased loved one. Along with a photo of the person, their favorite food and drink are placed on the altar. The altars are meant to welcome the loved one back.
